Various reptiles, foxes, and other animals of Corfiot fauna can be found in the region. Wildflowers such as daisies, along with various herbs like oregano, thyme, and edible wild vegetables, contribute to the local flora. Churches in the area include Agios Nikolaos, Hypapante, Agios Ilias, Agios Kyrikos, Panagia, Agioi Theodori, and Agioi Anargyroi.
The water in the region comes from local wells, and there are fountains with drinking water in the village square. The Skarpa mansion is also present in the village, along with the Theotoki mansion in the meadow of Ropa. Georgios Theotokis, a former Prime Minister of Greece, lived in the mansion in the village. Additionally, Georgios Lefteriotis, an actor who played in many Greek films with Aliki Vougiouklaki and other famous actors of the time, was born in the village.
Customs in the village include the procession of Ailia on the second day of Easter and the festival on August 15th in honor of Panagia. The cuisine usually features Corfiot dishes, and a special dish is red-cooked goat. The village also has a cultural association. The festival takes place on August 15th during the celebration of Panagia. For our village, we would like visitors to know that it is one of the last villages unaffected by tourism during its reconstruction, preserving a strong tradition.
