Viper (Vipera ammodytes)
Water or grass snake (Natrix natrix)
The island’s second backsnake (venom-spewing teeth are located inside the mouth cavity) with very weak venom, a snake of the family Psammophiidae common and large, agile diurnal snake. His head is distinctive with large eyes and raised eyebrows (superbrow arches). Females and especially juveniles are brown with intense spots, especially on the head and neck. Males are larger than females and usually have a solid gray or green color. It feeds on invertebrates, lizards, snakes, rodents and birds.
Diurnal snake with fast and nervous movement. It can reach 200cm in length. It varies in colors. It does not attack humans, unless threatened or grabbed.
