A large, slow moving and calm snake. Adults are easily distinguished by the brown color and the 4 black lines along the length. Juveniles are very different, gray with black spots and are often mistaken for vipers. It feeds on rodents, lizards, birds and bird eggs. Harmless. 140-170 cm. Harmless. 65-90 cm.
