Balkan wall lizard (Podarcis taurica)

In Corfu we call it mosteritsa but is also known as gustera or gusteritsa and more commonly as balkanosaurus. It is up to 8cm long, without the tail which is about twice the length of the body. We find it in sunny habitats at different altitudes. Diurnal, agile, terrestrial lizard, rarely climbing. It feeds on invertebrates. Females lay 2-10 eggs, usually 2 times a year. Harmless reptile.
