Dendarus corcyrensis

Coleoptera are known as beetles. They range in size from very small to very large (0.5 mm – 15 cm). They are characterized by the anterior wings which are strongly chitinized (elytra) and cover like a coleus the posterior pair of wings (where present) which are membranous. They have a very hard exoskeleton.
