Cephalanthera damasonium
Cephalanthera rubra
It is the most common type of cephalanthir and is easily distinguished by the long, narrow, alternate leaves that cover the greater length of the stem. The name ephalanthir longleaf refers to an orchid with a round skull-like anther and long leaves that lives in forests, forest clearings, shady places, slopes and roadsides at an altitude of more than 500m.
Slender plant 15-60 cm tall with 4-12 long, lance-shaped leaves, green with strong ribs.
Habitat: forest clearings, forest road edges, at altitudes up to 1,800 meters. Its flowers are white, almost closed, with an orange interior, in a sparse elongated inflorescence . A special feature is the yellow spot on the edge of the lip.
