Lake frog (Rana ridibynda)
Greek lissotriton (Lissotriton graecus)
European tree frogs are small, with males ranging between 32-43mm and females between 40-50mm in total length. They are usually green, but can also be gray depending on temperature, humidity or mood. Females have a white throat, while males have a golden-brown throat, with folded vocal sacs. They live in trees and other tall plants. Their characteristic is the suction cups on the tips of their fingers, necessary for life on plants. Despite their small size, their moulting during the breeding season (spring) is very strong.
