Balkan wall lizard (Podarcis taurica)
European glass lizard (Ophisaurus apodus or Pseudopus apodus)
Variant of our well-known mosteritsa, with which it has the same characteristics, recently recognized as a separate species found only in the areas wetted by the Ionian. It is up to 8cm long, without the tail which is about twice the length of the body. We find it in sunny habitats at different altitudes. Diurnal, agile, terrestrial lizard, rarely climbing. It feeds on invertebrates. Females lay 2-10 eggs, usually 2 times a year. Harmless reptile.
