Four-lined snake (Elaphe quatuorlineata)
A slender and colorful snake that appears in two forms, with red spots or red and white lines on a gray background. In Corfu, the most common form is the striped one. A shy, slow-moving snake that is mostly active in the early morning, late afternoon or night. It feeds mainly on rodents but also on lizards.
