Another evergreen shrub that grows in barren and rocky locations is the Phillyrea latifolia, commonly known as green olive tree or mock privet, which belongs to the Olleaceae family. The flowers are greenish-white in color and appear in inflorescences and groups between stem and leaves. Flowering starts depending on the region from the end of winter to spring.
